There’s intense activity on the training pitches of the Burus Csaba Sports Park during the 8th Székelyföld International Youth Football Tournament. On Tuesday afternoon, for example, alongside our teams, the Puskás Academy U17 side also held a training session here. We conducted a quick interview with their head coach, Dávid Arany.

– Welcome! How do you feel in Miercurea Ciuc?
– Thank you very much for the hospitality, we feel great, we’re happy to be here, everything has been excellent so far.
– What are your goals for the tournament organized by the Székely Land Football Academy?
– Our team has gone through a lot of changes this summer. We want to integrate the new players from all aspects – tactically, but even more importantly, into the team community. This tournament is a very good team-building opportunity for us. We’re in our third week of preparation now, and I feel the players are physically ready to play matches. We’ll play three games within a week against strong opponents, so this tournament fits very well into our preparation schedule.
– Have you been here before for a training camp? What are your impressions?
– No, this is my first time here. We’ve had a chance to get into the city a little, and what I’ve noticed is that the people are very kind. It’s wonderful to hear Hungarian spoken everywhere even this far from Hungary. I’m fascinated by the landscape and the surroundings, I’ve had very positive experiences here.
– Thank you very much, and we wish you great success!
– Thank you very much.
