On Sunday morning, at the Erőss Zsolt Arena synthetic pitch, our U19 women’s team ended the autumn campaign with a confident two-goal win against CS Dinamo Bucharest, in Round 11 of the Women’s Youth League.
Both of our older academy teams managed to bring home all three points from Sunday’s away trip to Arad, with both the U17 and U18 sides earning narrow, one-goal victories in the Mureș-side city.
We suffered a tough defeat away at Universitatea Cluj in Round 13 of the Women’s Superleague. In a direct battle for second place, we managed only to score a consolation goal.
With tremendous fight and a goal scored in the very last moment of the match, our U15 team kept all three points at home against league leaders FCSB.
Our U16 team suffered a frustrating defeat in their last league match of the year against leaders FCSB: neither a penalty nor a man advantage proved enough to secure even a single point at home.
FK Csíkszereda claimed their third Superliga victory, edging out fellow relegation-battle rivals Unirea Slobozia by a single goal in a combative, eventful match – though the difference could easily have been larger.
