Our team competing in the Women’s Youth League began the play-off stage with a narrow defeat away against Rapid Bucharest.

Rapid Bucharest secured the victory with a goal scored towards the end of the first half in the match played in the opening round of the upper play-off of the Women’s Youth League against FK Csíkszereda. The team coached by Berkeczi Emőke is taking part in this competition—designed for players under 19—with a very young squad. In the match against Rapid, the average age of our players listed on the match sheet was only 16.5 years (compared to 17.3 years for the opponents, in a game officiated by a Bucharest refereeing team). Therefore, qualifying for the upper play-off already represents a great achievement, as well as a valuable opportunity for learning and gaining experience.
