The head coach's view on the game:

"We had been eagerly awaiting the start of the season, as after four weeks of intense preparation, this was our fifth week in which we could finally fight for points and face a real competitive challenge.

Compared to our initial plans, the team’s lineup underwent a 180-degree change, starting from Monday’s training session and right up to the last session before the match. In the centre-back position we had to improvise, as one of our three centre-backs fell ill before the game, and we couldn’t count on our captain because he had to play with the U17 team. Therefore, we had to make quick adjustments.

The boys showed real grit and an excellent attitude despite all the difficulties.

From the very first minute, we took control of the game, consistently breaking down the opponents’ defence on the wings and often getting in behind them. We created clear chances, tried shots from distance, and even hit the post, but the goal was still missing in the first half.

In the second half, we managed to break the deadlock, which ultimately brought us all three points.
It was a tough, hard-fought match, played in 35-degree heat, where we had to overcome many obstacles to bring these three points home.

Congratulations to the boys – they put in an enormous amount of work, and we managed to start the new season on the right foot. New season, new goals – but most importantly, the team has kept its fighting spirit, strength of character, and willingness to battle for one another. This is a great joy for us!"
