Women’s Youth League
Our Women’s Youth League team laid the foundations for a convincing victory towards the end of the first half on the artificial pitch next to the Erőss Zsolt Arena. Melánia Cseke opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, before Kitti Lőrincz also found the net six minutes later. Half-time substitute Beáta Részeg extended the lead to three goals, while Melánia Cseke’s second strike made it 4–0 in the 64th minute. Ingrid Pap-Ieney completed the scoring in the 75th minute.
According to Emőke Berkeczi, it was initially evident from her team’s performance that this was their first league match of the season. They were unable to fully implement their game plan in the opening half, but their performance improved significantly after the break.
“The girls woke up in the second half and played some attractive football,” our head coach pointed out. Despite the convincing victory, she also highlighted the areas that still need improvement. “We missed a great number of chances, and that is something we must work on before our next match.”

Women’s U17
Playing their first league match, our U17 team kept the score goalless until half-time away to Sepsi OSK. The hosts took the lead through Adina Lauțăr in the 60th minute, before Bettina Fülöp completed the scoring twenty minutes later to make it 2–0.
Szilvia Szeitl felt that her team showed little of the elements they had practised during pre-season. The first half was characterised by hesitant play and numerous inaccurate passes, although neither side managed to pose a serious threat in front of the opposing goal.
“At half-time, we tried to lift the girls. We asked them to remain calm and put into practice what we had worked on: passing the ball from player to player, switching the play and making forward runs,” said the U17 team’s head coach.
Our team created several opportunities after the break, but a number of attacks ended with poor decisions or technical errors. Sepsi, by contrast, converted both of their clear-cut chances.
Szilvia Szeitl stressed that the newly formed team is still at the beginning of its development and therefore requires patience and further hard work.
“This match also showed that we still have plenty of room for improvement. At this level, it is not enough for only three of our players to give their all: everyone has to contribute and do their part for the team,” she said.
