Our U17 team finished their match – and the regular season – with a 1–1 draw against Universitatea Cluj at the Jucu Stadium. We controlled the first half, creating several good chances but couldn’t find the breakthrough. The hosts took the lead in the 65th minute from a corner, but our boys reacted with determination, and in the 83rd minute Bota Darius equalized after sustained pressure. The team closed the regular season with 6 wins, 3 draws, and 2 defeats, totaling 21 points and finishing fourth in the Western group.
Goran Kopunović’s side also faced Universitatea Cluj and suffered a narrow 2–1 defeat in a hard-fought match. The home team opened the scoring in the 9th minute and doubled their lead before halftime. In the 62nd minute, Juhos Gábor pulled one back, but we couldn’t complete the comeback. Despite the loss, our team delivered a strong regular season, finishing second in the Western series with 8 wins, 3 defeats, and a total of 24 points.
