All students of the FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy who have spent at least one year in the academy system (as residents) and are pursuing higher education in a full-time bachelor's or master's program are eligible to apply for the Higher Education Scholarship. 

FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy Higher Education Scholarship Program began in the 2023–2024 academic year, supporting its academy students who, in addition to or after completing their professional football careers, have begun college or university studies. In addition to supporting students pursuing higher education, the scholarship program also aims to establish an Alumni Network that will follow, monitor, connect, and assist graduates of FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy.

All students of the FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy who have spent at least one year in the academy system (as residents) and are pursuing higher education in a full-time bachelor's or master's program are eligible to apply for the Higher Education Scholarship. 

Ten footballers received scholarships in the first round, and 13 in the second. This year marks the third round of the program. In addition to former academy students who have been successfully admitted to university this year, those who are continuing their studies in bachelor's or master's programs and have already received support in the past academic year are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the conditions set out in the application.
The call for applications takes place every year in September–October. The deadline for submitting applications this year is October 24, 2025. The deadline for evaluating applications is October 31, 2025.

Application requirements:

-    at least one year spent at the Székelyföld Football Academy (in the campus);
-    proof of full-time undergraduate or graduate student status (official certificate issued by the higher education institution);
-    submission of a standard application form.

The amount of the scholarship: 500 lei/month. The duration of the scholarship each academic year: 10 months (October–July), i.e. two consecutive semesters.

After winning the scholarship, the beneficiary undertakes the following:

-    at the end of the academic year, they will prepare a short (2-3 pages) report on their academic progress and the use of the scholarship;
-    they agree to join the Alumni Network of the FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy and to support its activities and programs to the best of their ability;
-    promote the FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy Higher Education Scholarship Program and Alumni Network;
by submitting their application, applicants consent to the institution issuing the call for applications recording their personal data provided on the application form and transferring it for the sole purpose of administering the scholarship application and verifying eligibility for support, or processing it itself during the scholarship period. By submitting their application, applicants consent to the processing of their personal data provided at the time of application to the extent necessary for identification purposes and to the transfer of such data for the purposes of administering the scholarship application and verifying eligibility for support. 

After the decision, FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy will notify the successful applicants of the total amount of the Higher Education Scholarship, the method of payment, and the details of the contract. During the period of the scholarship, the scholarship recipient is required to notify FK Csíkszereda, Székelyföld Football Academy in writing of any changes affecting the payment of the scholarship without delay (but no later than within 10 days). Key areas of notification:

- postponement of studies;
- change of place of study (new higher education institution, faculty, major); 
- change in study status (work schedule, form of training);
- change in personal data (birth name, citizenship, permanent residence). 

The scholarship recipient is obliged to repay the unlawfully received scholarship to the disbursing institution within 30 days. If it is established that the applicant has provided information in the application that is not true or does not otherwise meet the application criteria, they will not be eligible for support even if they have already received notification of the award of the scholarship.
