Our U18 youth team claimed an excellent victory, while our U17 side earned a draw in the 3rd round of the Cup, away against CFR Cluj.

To close the autumn season, our two older academy teams travelled to Cluj on Sunday for Cup fixtures against CFR. In the U18 team coached by Goran Kopunovic – the team of Ioó Edvin, who suffered a serious injury exactly one week ago –, our goal was guarded this time by Simon Máté, who normally trains with the senior squad. Noveli also took to the pitch after appearing in Saturday evening’s Superliga match against FC Argeș. Bencze, Tóth-Pál and the aforementioned Simon were all on the senior bench the previous night before playing again on Sunday in Cluj. Their contribution proved decisive: goals from Tóth-Pál and Polgár secured an excellent win, keeping alive our hopes of winning the group.

The U17 team led by Szilárd Mitra came extremely close to victory as well: Györfi put us in front in the 54th minute, only for the hosts to equalise from a penalty in the 8th minute of added time.
