The FK Csíkszereda U17 team had little trouble defeating their counterparts from Petrolul Ploiești in the opening round of the Elite League, played at home on Sunday.
Mitra Szilárd’s side attacked almost constantly, barely allowing the opponents any chances, creating numerous opportunities and controlling the game from start to finish. The opening goal came late in the first half, after a free kick from the right side. Ilyés Máté found himself in a good position, but his shot was blocked, and after a scramble in the box, Bódi Lehel sent the ball into the net: 1–0.
The second half began the same way the first had ended – with an FK goal, as Tóth-Pál Milán scored from close range in the 47th minute (2–0). Less than three minutes later, following a quick counterattack with a numerical advantage, the same Tóth-Pál Milán found himself in an unmissable position and made no mistake, sealing the 3–0 final score.
