Emőke Berkeczi’s team ended their season and Women’s Youth League semi-final campaign with a defeat, losing 4–2 at home to U Olimpia Cluj.
In the second leg played on Friday afternoon at the Erőss Zsolt Arena synthetic pitch, we started well and took the lead in the 4th minute through Melánia Cseke. The visitors quickly equalized, then turned the game around and added two more goals before halftime to lead 4–1 at the break. In the second half, our team pushed to get back into the game, and in the 75th minute Ingrid Alexandra Pap Ieney reduced the deficit, but no further goals followed, and the Cluj side advanced to the final.

After the match, head coach Emőke Berkeczi evaluated the game. – We started the match well and even took the lead, but the response came quickly, in fact several responses. In the first half the girls collapsed. In the second half we played better, we dared to pass and play. That was all in today’s match, as we played against a team where most of the players compete in the first league. Overall, I am very, very proud of the girls, firstly for reaching the play-off, and secondly for finishing second in our group. It is worth mentioning that we played in an age category where our average age is 16, even though we competed in U19, where several teams also fielded first-league players – she said.
