On Sunday afternoon we played the Harghita derby away at Vasas Femina, in Round 7 of the Women’s Superleague. Although we started the match at a lower pace, we stepped up in the second half and confirmed our superiority.

We controlled the first half, keeping the hosts pinned in their own half, but couldn’t convert our chances. After the break, we broke the deadlock quickly: in the 53rd minute Jehona Shala opened the scoring, and our tempo increased gradually. In the 69th minute Zoé Magyarics doubled the lead, and two minutes later Shala scored her second of the day (0–3). In the 81st minute Eszter Szőke added the fourth, sealing a clear 4–0 victory.

In the second half we played with more determination and earned a convincing four-goal win. The girls were disciplined, kept control of the tempo, and once again showed their ability to dominate the match.

After the game, our head coach Szilvia Szeitl said: – We played on a difficult pitch, and the condition of the field didn’t make things easy for us. It was clear that the team is still not used to these circumstances. I wasn’t satisfied with the first half – we had no shots on target, reached good positions but couldn’t finish. During halftime we made changes, and the girls raised the intensity – then the goals came one after another – said our coach.

– The most important thing was to get the three points. I’m a bit sorry we didn’t score more, but the win is always what matters most – she added.
