Corbu Marius continued his excellent start to the season: the midfielder developed at FK Csíkszereda played the full 90 minutes in two matches for Ferencváros last week and scored his second goal of the 2026–2027 campaign.
Hungary’s record champions visited ZTE FC in the NB I on 17 August. Corbu was once again named in the starting line-up and headed home the only goal of the match in the 38th minute. He was shown a yellow card in the 18th minute and missed a penalty in the second half, but his goal still earned all three points for Ferencváros.
Three days later, he also played the entire Europa League play-off match. Ferencváros won 1–0 away to Trabzonspor and will take an advantage into the return leg in Budapest on 27 August. Corbu’s weekly tally was two starts, 180 minutes and one goal. He has now played ten competitive matches this season, starting all of them, and has recorded 843 minutes and two goals. Ferencváros sit tenth in the NB I with four points from three league matches and will next visit Puskás Akadémia on Sunday, 30 August, with kick-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
Gyenge Szilárd also made his first competitive appearance of the current season. Sepsi OSK visited CSM Slatina in the Romanian Cup play-off round on 19 August. The goalkeeper developed in Miercurea Ciuc started and remained in goal throughout the match, including extra time, as the Covasna County side secured a 2–0 victory. Gyenge kept a clean sheet over 120 minutes and helped his team progress to the next round.
David Lazar returned in goal for Sepsi’s league match on Sunday. Gyenge remained on the bench during the 1–1 draw against FC Farul Constanța. The Sfântu Gheorghe side sit tenth in the Superliga with seven points after six rounds.
Omar El Sawy was given ten minutes for Rapid București this time. His team earned a 2–0 away victory over FC Petrolul, with the youth international midfielder replacing Rareș Pop in the 80th minute. El Sawy has been included in Rapid’s matchday squad for all six league games, making five appearances and playing a total of 74 minutes. The Bucharest side are third in the Superliga with eleven points.
Tamás Nándor started twice for KFC Komárno (Komárom). In the cup, he played the first half of the 5–0 away victory over TJ Slovan Tomášovce (Losonctamási). Four days later, he also started the league match against MŠK Žilina (Zsolna), receiving an early yellow card before being substituted in the 58th minute. The Komárno side suffered a 2–1 defeat.
Tamás recorded two starts and 104 minutes during the week. He has played 150 minutes in three competitive matches this season. Komárno have collected two points from five rounds and sit eleventh in the Niké Liga.
Vajda Roland Ottó completed another full match for Hungarian NB II side HR-Rent Kozármisleny. The Baranya County outfit suffered a 2–1 home defeat against Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia, with Vajda starting and playing all 90 minutes. His record this season stands at four starts and 344 minutes, as well as one yellow and one red card. Kozármisleny remain without a point after five rounds and sit sixteenth in the NB II.
Brügger Dániel was once again included in Puskás Akadémia’s NB I squad but did not feature in their 1–0 away victory over Vasas. He has been on the bench in all five top-flight rounds so far. The Felcsút club’s reserve team did not play last week, meaning Brügger’s NB III tally remains unchanged at three starts and 219 minutes. Puskás Akadémia lead the NB I table with twelve points from five matches.
Dusinszki Szabolcs was not included in Puskás Akadémia’s matchday squad against Vasas, while the reserve team had no league fixture during the period under review. For the same reason, Bencze Lóránd did not play last week either.
