The visitors arrived for Sunday’s match with the trophy already within reach, needing just one point to mathematically secure the title with one round to spare. This likely contributed to the tense atmosphere, as well as the strong presence of visiting supporters in the smaller stands of Pitch 2 at the Burus Csaba Sports Base.
After a goalless first half, Cătrinoi converted our dominance midway through the second half with a fine volley, seemingly postponing the title celebrations until the final round. Shortly after, however, Györfi misjudged his run off the line, and Mihai capitalized to equalize. No further goals were scored in an increasingly heated finale, and the draw ultimately favored the visitors.
