Our U16 team returned home with three points from Bacău this weekend, ahead of Tuesday’s Romanian Cup semi-final. Head coach Burus Bernát evaluated the match.

The coach was pleased with his team’s performance at the start of the game, especially highlighting the players’ attitude and their control of play:

– We started the match with a very good attitude, managed to control the game from the very beginning, and showed excellent possession.

Thanks to this, FK created several chances in the first half:

– Through our possession, we were able to create both smaller and bigger chances, including clear goal-scoring opportunities. Our first goal came from a correctly awarded penalty.

In the second half, the focus shifted to defensive stability, which helped secure the victory:

– In the second half, the team showed stable and responsible defending, and after a great transition we managed to close the game.

Burus Bernát emphasized that the timing of this victory is particularly important ahead of the upcoming cup match:

– It is an important win, as such a motivating performance can be very beneficial for the boys ahead of Tuesday’s cup semi-final.

Our U16 team will host Rapid Bucharest on Tuesday at 12:00 on the artificial pitch behind Márton Áron High School, in the semi-final of the Romanian Cup.
