We left no doubt about our desire to win in Round 6 of the Women’s Superliga. On Sunday afternoon at the Burus Csaba Sportpark, we dominated and defeated Universitatea Cluj 4–0 with a confident and solid performance.

The first half was balanced, but the big chances came our way. In the 10th minute our captain, Andrea Herczeg, opened the scoring with a superb finish (1–0). Ten minutes later, after her cross, Jehona Shala headed home to double the lead (2–0). In the 36th minute, a collision between Carmen Marcu and our goalkeeper Boglárka Balog caused a scare; the visiting player was booked. We went into the break with a two-goal lead.
After the restart the game was quickly decided. In the 48th minute, following a handball in the box, Andrea Herczeg converted the penalty confidently into the top corner (3–0). Later, Rita Mitri went close, her shot rolling across the goal line before being cleared. In the 82nd minute, after a well-built team move, Ana Vlădulescu scored our fourth, sealing a 4–0 victory.
After the match, our head coach Szilvia Szeitl was pleased: – It felt like the knife was at our throat, and the girls responded. I finally saw the fire in their eyes that was needed for this match. They can play football, they are capable of being champions. The problems were about attitude, but I hope that is now behind us – emphasized our coach.
She added that this victory should serve as a foundation for further progress. Next, we face Vasas Femina away, followed by a home match against Farul, where we will again be aiming for victory.
