We played a hard-fought match away at Politehnica Timișoara in the 3rd round of the Women’s Superliga. Although we created several chances, we couldn’t find the back of the net this time, and the game ended in a 0–0 draw.

We played a hard-fought match away at Politehnica Timișoara in the 3rd round of the Women’s Superliga. Although we created several chances, we couldn’t find the back of the net this time, and the game ended in a 0–0 draw.

In the first half we had the upper hand, keeping the home defense under constant pressure. However, our finishing was inaccurate inside the box, and our offensive attempts lacked efficiency. Towards the end of the half the game became more balanced, but the score remained unchanged.

In the second half the hosts took control and became increasingly dangerous. Both goalkeepers were heavily involved and turned out to be the main protagonists of the match. In the closing minutes Timișoara came closer to scoring the winner, but we managed to defend well and kept the clean sheet.

After the match our head coach, Szilvia Szeitl, said:
– It’s hard to say anything after such a game. The girls worked well all week and were motivated. Early on we put pressure on the opponent, but towards the end we were inaccurate. At training we score many goals from shots on target, but in matches they don’t come. We need to find the reason quickly, because we can’t continue like this – emphasized the coach.

In the 4th round we will host Olimpia Someșul Sânmihaiu Almașului on September 14, from 15:00.
