Mitra Szilárd’s U17s fell behind early but turned the match around before halftime thanks to goals from Darius Bota and Lehel Bódi. The U18 team coached by Goran Kopunovic played a scoreless first half, and in the 54th minute Luca Noveli netted the decisive goal. Both matches were tense, as reflected by the high number of yellow cards. Our goalkeeping coach, Tiberiu Adi Lung, was sent off for protesting, and both head coaches also received yellow cards. The goalkeeping coach sharply criticised the refereeing, which is why he was not allowed to remain on the bench for the final minutes.
Both age groups will play their final league matches of the 2025 calendar year on Wednesday in a midweek round, hosting Universitatea Craiova. During the following two weekends, the boys will face Cup fixtures before heading into the winter break.
