It was a close call, but this time the team from Buzău failed to cause problems for us in Saturday’s U15 clash.
Metalul Buzău has become something of a bogey team in this age group, having taken points from us in the regular season and even forcing a penalty shootout in the cup in Miercurea Ciuc with their simple but highly effective style of play. This time, however, Fogarasi Zoltán’s players did not want to give any chances to the visitors—who were accompanied by supporters often showing questionable behavior—and built a three-goal lead in the first half with some excellent goals.
In the second half, memories of previous encounters resurfaced as the visitors got back into the game with two quick goals. Fortunately, our team managed to hold on to the lead without major trouble.
With this victory, which lifts us to second place in the standings, the team also wished a happy birthday to Szabolcs Boér, who is currently recovering from injury.
